This is an image of an old oak tree on a backroad somewhere just north of Clarkston, MI. All of the images needed to create this piece I photographed and assembled myself. The project started as a dare from a friend in one of my classes, but once I started compiling the images I wanted to see where else I could take it.

I am a huge fan of Mason Jars, this one was found in the cellar of the house I grew up in, it was there when we moved in. Judging by the style of the logo, the color of the glass and the warping on the glass, it was most likely manufactured in the early 1900's. I photographed the jar and set an image of a maple tree in it from the fairgrounds behind the house I grew up in.

The image inside this bottle was taken from the top of a dune my brother and I found about 10 miles down the coast from our cabin and cottage on Lake Michigan in Crossville. I am not much of a city girl and living in the heart of Southwest Detroit is a tough pill to swallow. I often wish that I could just drink a potion and suddenly I would be back in Crossvillage in mid July.
